On the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz Equation in Sinh-Gordon Model

    Get PDF
Two implicit periodic structures in the solution of sinh-Gordon thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equation are considered. The analytic structure of the solution as a function of complex θ\theta is studied to some extent both analytically and numerically. The results make a hint how the CFT integrable structures can be relevant in the sinh-Gordon and staircase models. More motivations are figured out for subsequent studies of the massless sinh-Gordon (i.e. Liouville) TBA equation.Comment: 32 pages, 18 figures, myart.st

Theoretical approaches towards global social development

    Get PDF
Background/Objective: The topicality of the research is stipulated by the determination of the theoretical approaches that could serve as a basis for path finding out of the global systemic crisis. Theoretical views of outstanding economists of the past toward the future of humanity and the real state of the world are of undoubted interest. The article deals with the ideas of G.V. Plekhanov, analyzes the results of their implementation in Russia in the 1990s. Possible perspectives of social development are associated with a change in the socio-economic views on the role and the place of nature in today’s context. Methods: The basic methods of studying this problem are the economic analysis, deduction, factor analysis and system-structural approach. Findings: The authors have given the analysis of the theory of economic growth stages, considered the views of Plekhanov toward the development of capitalism in Russia and the modification of the social nature of the monarchy and its consequences. To secure its future, the humankind is destined to change moral principles. Changing social consciousness depends on the level of culture and education. The theoretical approaches are determined that could be core ones in searching for ways out of the today’s global problems. Improvements/Novelty: Solving global problems of today such as nature and society, war and peace, social inequality is closely linked to changes in consumption patterns. Nature, life on the planet should be a common goal for all countries and peoples. Economy and politics should be subject to this goal. These findings are of practical value to scientists, economists, sociologists, philosophers, as well as for college teachers.peer-reviewe

Nuclear characteristics of cardiac myocytes following the proliferative response to mincing of the myocardium in the adult newt, Notophthalmus viridescens

Amphibian cardiac myocytes are predominantly mononucleated and have been demonstrated to respond to injury with DNA synthesis and mitosis. The nature of this response with regard to nuclear number and ploidy is unclear. In this study, the apex of the newt ventricle was minced and replaced, increasing the reactive area of the wound. At 45 days after mincing following multiple injections of tritiated thymidine (2.5-μCi/animal, 20 Ci/mM) 15 to 20 days after mincing, three ventricular zones were isolated and fixed: Zone 1, the minced area; Zone 2, extending approximately 500 μm proximally from the amputation plane; and Zone 3, the portion proximal to Zone 2. Myocytes separated in 50% KOH were examined for DNA synthesis by autoradiography and for nuclear number and DNA content using a scanning microdensitometer on Feulgen-Naphthol yellow S-stained cells. No labeled myocyte nuclei were found in control hearts and 98.3% of the myocytes were 2C. At 45 days, 46.78% of myocyte nuclei within Zone 1 were labeled, while 13% were non-diploid. In Zone 2, 9.25% were labeled with 4.8% non-diploid. In Zone 3, 1.1% were labeled, with 2.8% non-diploid. The newt ventricle's response to injury apparently may involve complete mitosis and cytokinesis, resulting in mononucleated diploid cells.Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/47686/1/441_2004_Article_BF00219752.pd

Is the O(3) σO(3)~\sigma Model with the Hopf Term Exactly Equivalent to a Higher Spin Theory?

We write down a local CP1CP_1 model involving two gauge fields, which is exactly equivalent to the O(3) σ\sigma model with the Hopf term. We impose the CP1CP_1 constraint by using the gaussian representation of the delta function. For the coefficient of the Hopf term, θ=π2s\theta = {\pi \over 2s}, 2s being an integer, we show that the resulting model is exactly equivalent to an interacting theory of spin-ss fields. Thus we conjecture that there should be a fixed point in the spin-ss theory near which it is exactly equal to the σ\sigma model.Comment: 11 page

Sine-Gordon breather form factors and quantum field equations

    Get PDF
Using the results of previous investigations on sine-Gordon form factors exact expressions of all breather matrix elements are obtained for several operators: all powers of the fundamental bose field, general exponentials of it, the energy momentum tensor and all higher currents. Formulae for the asymptotic behavior of bosonic form factors are presented which are motivated by Weinberg's power counting theorem in perturbation theory. It is found that the quantum sine-Gordon field equation holds and an exact relation between the ``bare'' mass and the renormalized mass is obtained. Also a quantum version of a classical relation for the trace of the energy momentum is proven. The eigenvalue problem for all higher conserved charges is solved. All results are compared with perturbative Feynman graph expansions and full agreement is found.Comment: LaTeX, 31 page

BIOINFORMATIC SEARCH OF CRISPR/CAS SYSTEM STRUCTURES IN GENOME OF PCT281 PLASMID OF BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS SUBSP. CHINENSIS STRAIN CT-43

Background. CRISPR/Cas systems loci are one of the functionally important patterns in bacterial genome which perform the role of “adaptive immune defense” from foreign nucleic acids. The study of CRISPR/Cas systems structure in genomes of plasmids and phages provide new information about the evolution of this systems in bacterial hosts.Aims. A search of CRISPR/Cas systems structures in pCT281 plasmid from Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. chinensis strain CT-43 using bioinformatic methods.Materials and methods. Search studies using bioinformatics methods were performed with the genome of pCT281 plasmid of B. thuringiensis subsp. chinensis strain CT-43 from the RefSeq database. To search for the CRISPR/Cas system structure MacSyFinder (ver. 1.0.5) and three combined algorithms were used: CRISPRFinder; PILER-CR; CRISPR Recognition Tool (CRT). The consensus repeat sequence was generated in WebLogo 3.Results and discussion. In pCT281 plasmid we detected one locus of CRISPR/Cas system of the type I-C which contains 2 CRISPR-cassettes and 4 cas-genes located between them. The CRISPR-cassette 1 includes 10 spacers from 32 to 35 bp and 11 repeats 32bp in length. 5 spacers (33–35 bp) separated by 6 repeats 32 bp in length were detected in the CRISPR-cassette 2.Conclusions. The bioinformatic methods used in this study enable to conduct a search of CRISPR/Cas systems structures in plasmid genomes. The presence of the CRISPR-Cas locus in pCT281 plasmid confirms a possible transfer of this system from the nucleoid to this plasmid. The detected spacers provide information about phages this bacteria was encountered
